Dave (Kitaco Queen's Gambit) made his show debut this chilly weekend and took Best Dog and Reserve Best of Breed and Best Baby Puppy of Breed in his very first outing at the Canterbury Junior Kennel Society show! Pretty good start for a little fella walking in the frost for the first time.
Not to be outdone by her little cousin, Briar (Kitaco Briar Rose) took Reserve Best Bitch and Baby Puppy of Breed in the Waimate Kennel Society show and the Canterbury Junior Kennel Society (Show 2)
Ava (NZ CH KItaco Smashed Avacado) left the rest of the Long Coat field in the dust, taking Best Bitch, Best Junior of Breed and Best of Breed in all 4 shows and Best Junior of Group with her new best friend and Junior Handler, 7-year-old Arvia Caldwell, in the Canterbury Junior Kennel Society (Show 2), under judge, Betty Hansen.
Spencer (El-Toro Rey Spencer at Kitaco) dominated in the Smooth Coats, taking Best Dog, Best NZ Bred of Breed and Best of Breed in all 4 shows, as well.
Not a bad way to spend a weekend at all. Thanks to the three Kennel Clubs who pooled their resources for a great chance to have 4 shows in a weekend.
Congratulations on your wonderful successes with the team over the weekend. So thrilled for you. Cheryl McKay.
